Sea You Beach Bar (Kissonerga)

A good sunset view is a key thing to look out for in your search for the best beach clubs in Cyprus. It doesn’t get much better than at Sea You Beach Bar in Kissonerga. Expect the orange and pink reflections over the Mediterranean Sea right in front of your eyes. This boho bar is one of the most popular spots on the island, and there are plenty of good reasons for that beyond the stunning outlook. But it’s the golden-hour vistas that really help it come up trumps. They look straight out at the mellow waves beyond the shore.

Although it was once a shabby beach shack, it has become a stylish hipster venue over the years. Expect oodles of sanded wood on the floors and seating, all surrounded by the serenity of lush green palms. They’ve gone for the sort of surf vibes you’d expect to see in a Californian oceanfront joint. They have lots of tables and seats around the mojito bar, or you can go for one of the comfy sunbeds on the sand.

One of their selling points is their extended drinks menu. The experienced mixologists are always ready to help you choose the best cocktails. We recommend going for one of their signature drinks, especially the Passion Lovers, a zingy mix of beverage and citrus. If you’re not so keen on cocktails, they have a long list of draught beers, local wines, spirits, and other non-alcoholic beverages. If you’re hungry, there’s no shortage of snacks, including sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads, and grilled meats – the usual pub stuff.

Sea You Beach Bar is located on quiet Potima Beach in the small village of Kissonerga. It’s on the west coast of Cyprus, not far from Paphos. The famous Coral Bay is just around the corner. Did we mention that it’s a top spot for sunset watching? You might want to book in advance for that very reason.

Kaliva On The Beach (Ayia Napa)

There is no shortage of bars and clubs on Ayia Napa’s beaches, and one of the top spots out there is Kaliva On The Beach. This stylish beach club is located on the white sands of Pantachou Beach, just a short walk from the lively center of the town. It’s hard to find a more relaxing spot to recover from the night before.

This isn’t some tacky beach shack. Kaliva On The Beach has a chic interior with boho features and subtle color schemes. Expect plenty of wooden tables under beige cotton canvas and ratan lamps. Out front, they have comfy sunbeds with soft mats. They also have a decked VIP area with large private sunbeds that can fit up to four people. It’s the sort of place you see in the background of Instagram influencers’ snaps, so get that designer bikini top ready!

When it comes to the menu, aside from a long list of refreshing cocktails and juices, they have plenty of beers, wine, champagne, and spirits. Their food is a mix of local and Japanese delicacies, beautifully presented on fancy plates. We recommend trying their sushi – it’s top notch.

Guaba Beach Bar (Limassol)

Guaba Beach Bar is among the most popular beach clubs not only in Cyprus but also in all of Europe. It was voted the 13th best club in the world by DJ Mag back in 2014. Although it has since lost the position, it has never left the top 100. This place has been growing in popularity since it opened its doors back in 2006 and many popular DJs have made their presence felt on the decks over the years.

Guaba is located on the edge of the water in the small village of Mouttagiaka in the district of Limassol. By day, this place has a couple of sunbeds on the sand and colorful seats with panoramic vistas over the Med. By night, though, it transforms into a mega club that can host up to 2,500 people across an open-air dancefloor and five large bar areas. There’s also a DJ booth raised above the dancing area and a VIP spot for those with big dollars.

Their daytime menu features tasty comfort foods that include burgers and chips. You can also get professionally mixed cocktails alongside other refreshing drinks. When the place fills up at night, they switch to more basic drinks like beer or spirits with mixers.

The main reason people go to Guaba Beach Bar is their nighttime events. Their summer calendar is booked with international acts and DJs playing techno sets. They’re open seven days a week, but their biggest nights are Sundays. That’s when you might have to queue and pay a small fee to get in. This place is only open during the summer from May to September, leaving the winter months for maintenance and renovations.

Nissi Bay Beach Bar (Ayia Napa)

With shallow turquoise waters and white sands, Nissi Bay is undoubtedly beautiful. This once idyllic beach is only a stone’s throw away from the popular party resort of Ayia Napa, so it’s hardly a secret these days. That means that the sands are now lined with beach clubs, and we’d say that the best one out there is Nissi Bay Beach Bar.

With a prime spot just outside of a little islet by the shore, the location is one of the main draws. Don’t expect stylish décor or Instagram-worthy dishes. It’s really a glorified beach shack with lines of white plastic sunbeds under blue umbrellas.

Nissi Beach bar is renowned for its daytime parties. We’re talking all-day events with renowned DJs and pumping dance tunes. Some of the highlights are the regular foam parties that come and go throughout the peak season. Others are drawn by the prospect of dancing and drinking on one of the prettiest beaches in Europe.

They have a very long menu of alcoholic beverages, and their trademark is that you can get any cocktail in a pineapple or a coconut. They also serve a range of wines, beers, and spirits. There’s also a short selection of pub bites and snacks.

La Isla (Limassol)

La Isla is also among the best beach clubs in Cyprus. It’s located on the pristine sands of Ayios Tychonas, a Blue Flag beach in the ever-lively coastal town of Limassol. It’s a stylish place that incorporates a mix of chic and boho décor that perfectly fits in with the surroundings. They’ve gone for a simple color scheme, white walls, wooden furniture, and green plants.

They have lots of big wooden tables sheltered from the scorching sun, perfect for hosting larger groups. There is also no shortage of smaller seats and sunbeds. In the summer, you can also sit along the drinks bar. And they have a sleek pool area for private parties and special events.

La Isla has a reputation for serving delicious and beautifully presented food alongside colorful drinks. They do different combinations of set menus with a choice of meat, fish, or veggie options as a main. We recommend trying one of their yummy desserts, especially the walnut pie, which is something of a highlight for afters.

On weekends, they extend their closing times from the usual 8 pm finish. Saturday and Sunday evenings are reserved for the parties, often with DJs and loud music that go on until the early morning. They’re open all your round, but the wildest events happen over the summer months when the place is at its busiest.

The best beach clubs in Cyprus – our conclusion

There are hundreds of places to drink beer and cocktails near the shoreline on offer around the island of Cyprus. We’ve tried to skim it down to five top options here so you can easily seek out the finest that are on the menu. You might notice that a lot of them are in the vicinity of the party hub of Ayia Napa out east, but there’s also a few speckling the resort areas around Paphos and Limassol in the west and south.
